Sarzyna Z-1 Hardener - for liquid epoxy resins (available sizes: 1 kg, 4 kg, 20 kg, 200 kg)

Z-1 Hardener – It is primarily used in compositions with low-molecular-weight epoxy resins and products based on them.

Z1 hardener is used for curing liquid epoxy resins. This hardener increases the flexibility and impact strength of the composition, making it suitable for bonding joints exposed to deformation, e.g., in boatbuilding for bonding wooden or polyester-glass laminate elements, bonding rubber to metal, thin sheet metal, plywood, and potting electronic components.

Z-1 hardener is a liquid polyamide hardener with a transparent color.

The weight ratio of Z1 hardener to resin is as follows:

• For Epidian 5 epoxy resin, 12 parts by weight of Z1 hardener are required per 100 parts by weight of this resin.
• For Epidian 53 epoxy resin, 10 parts by weight of Z1 hardener are required per 100 parts by weight of this resin.

The curing process begins as soon as the hardener is added to the resin, and there is a certain amount of time to use the mixture before it cures (open time). This time depends on several factors: temperature, the amount of mixture, etc., and will vary under individual conditions.
The gel time is approximately 35 minutes at room temperature.
Initial curing is achieved after 48 hours – the degree of curing is approximately 80-90%.
Full curing takes 7-14 days.
