Epidian® 5 – Versatile Solvent-Free Epoxy Resin

Epidian® 5 is a 100% solvent-free, colorless epoxy resin with an amber tint. Thanks to its high viscosity and excellent adhesion properties, it finds wide application in various industrial and craft fields.

Key Applications:

• Bonding: Ideal for bonding wood, metals, glass, ceramics, and most plastics (except PE and PP).

Curing Process: Epidian® 5 cures after adding the appropriate amount of hardener. For recommended applications, PAC hardener is recommended in proportions of 100 parts by weight of resin to 60-90 parts by weight of hardener, depending on the desired physical properties of the product. A larger amount of hardener results in a more flexible polymer. The gel time at 20°C for a 100g sample is approximately 180 minutes. Preliminary curing occurs after 6-8 hours, and full curing takes from 7 to 14 days. This process can be accelerated by increasing the temperature after preliminary curing.

Additional Information: It is not recommended to add thinners or solvents to the product. To reduce the viscosity of the resin, the container with it can be placed in a water bath at a temperature of 60-80°C before adding the hardener. Please note that low temperatures increase the viscosity of the resin.
