Buffing Compound BUFA BF 100
Buffing Compound BUFA BF 100
BF 100 Polishing Paste is a carefully selected
combination of fine and highly effective abrasive particles,
suspended in paste. It contains no silicon, ammonia or waxes.
BF 100 paste can be used for hand and
machine polishing.
Applications
BF 100 Polishing Paste was developed for polishing scratches and
scuffs on GRP moulds and products made from polyester,
vinylester or epoxy resins. It is suitable for
wet or dry sanding. It is usually applied after
using BF 50 paste or P1000-1200 wet-and-dry sandpaper. BF 100
removes scratches and imperfections from moulds and finished products; it also polishes oxidized lacquers to a
high gloss. Subsequent polishing of the product surface with BF150 paste guarantees a
high gloss.
Directions for use
Apply the paste with a clean, soft cloth to a surface of approx. 50 x 50
cm and polish with moderate pressure until a uniform,
glossy surface is achieved. If a machine
polisher is used, the maximum set speed should not exceed
2100 rpm. To achieve a very high gloss, increase the pressure
during polishing as the paste dries.
Note! During use, the cloth should be cleaned regularly!
After preparing the mould, apply a release layer using BF 700 or
BF 800; between demoulding operations, use BF 500.
Notes: After prolonged storage, the paste should be mixed before use
with a spatula or wooden stick.
Storage/ Use
The product must be stored in a dry and cool place, in closed containers
protected from frost. The product has a shelf life of 6 months for originally sealed
packaging stored under suitable conditions.
