Sarzyna U1 Hardener

Sarzyna U1 Hardener – recommended for Epidian Floor flooring systems

U1 Hardener is a specialist amine hardener designed for use with flooring systems such as Epidian Floor. It ensures proper curing of coatings, as well as high mechanical strength and chemical resistance of the floors.

Application – which resins is U1 compatible with?

• Epidian Floor C1 – thin-film coatings
• Epidian Floor S1 – self-levelling epoxy screeds
• Epidian Floor G1 – epoxy primer for flooring systems
• Epidian Floor G2 – fast epoxy primer (e.g. for epoxy-quartz systems)

Mixing ratios (by weight)

U1 hardener should always be dosed by weight, according to the type of resin used:

• Epidian Floor C1 : U1 Hardener → 100 : 25
Example: add 2.5 kg of U1 hardener to 10 kg of C1 resin.
• Epidian Floor S1 : U1 Hardener → 100 : 25
Example: add 2.5 kg of U1 hardener to 10 kg of S1 resin.
• Epidian Floor G1 : U1 Hardener → 100 : 40
Example: add 4 kg of U1 hardener to 10 kg of G1 resin.
• Epidian Floor G2 : U1 Hardener → 100 : 40
Example: add 4 kg of U1 hardener to 10 kg of G2 resin.

Brief mixing instructions

1. Measure the ingredients on a scale – according to the correct ratios for the selected system.
2. Pour the hardener into the resin (never the other way around).
3. Mix mechanically with a low-speed mixer for approx. 2–3 minutes, thoroughly scraping the material from the sides and bottom of the container.
4. Pour into a clean container and mix briefly again – this reduces the risk of leaving unmixed portions of resin.
5. Use the material within its working time (several minutes at a temperature of approx. 20 °C – exact values are provided in the technical data sheets for the Epidian Floor systems).

Always follow the manufacturer's current recommendations for substrate preparation, working temperature and application conditions for the specific Epidian Floor system.
